Jersey Mike’s “Day of Giving” breaks record for Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital
SPOKANE, Wash. — Two local Jersey Mike’s locations raised a record total of $13,659 for its ninth annual “Day of Giving” fundraiser.
100 percent of all sales were donated to Providence Health Care Foundation in support of the Andrew Rypien School Program, which supports children who have to spend time away from school while hospitalized. The program offers direct instruction and tutoring, and engaging academic activities that enable children to keep up with their studies and maintain a sense of normalcy.
Jersey Mike’s “Day of Giving” is part of a month-long fundraising campaign to encourage donations to organizations throughout the country. This is the third year the sub shops have supported Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital.
Last year, funds raised benefited the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
