Inland Curry holding ‘Show Up for India’ COVID relief fundraiser
SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane’s Inland Curry is holding a raffle and street food fundraiser this week to help raise money for COVID relief in India.
Coronavirus infections and deaths have been mounting at an alarming speed in India, with cases nearly doubling in the past month.
There are two ways you can help:
We are hosting a Special Inland Curry- Indian Street Food Night Fundraiser this Thursday May 13th, 2021 – 3pm-7pm (or…
The first is to donate monetary funds and enter yourself into the “Show Up for India” raffle. Inland Curry is accepting donations through their website or through Venmo at @inlandcurry. Every $5 donated is equal to one raffle ticket.
Nineteen local businesses have teamed up to provide items for two raffle prizes, each valued at $500. The raffles include gift certificates to local restaurants, food trucks and coffee shops.
All of the money from the raffle will go to Mission Oxygen, which is helping to alleviate the current oxygen crisis by donating concentrators to hospitals and other medical care facilities.
The second way to get involved is to eat! On Thursday, Inland Curry will be cooking up Indian street food, like ragda chaat, papdi chaat and chicken kathi kebab roll, at Feast World Kitchen. Those looking to dine for a cause can head to the walk-up window on the south side of Feast’s building. Food will be available from 3-7 p.m. or until sold out and all profits will go to Khaan Chahiye, a citizen movement that strives to fight hunger in Mumbai.
Feast is located at 1321 W 3rd Ave in downtown Spokane. More information can be found here.
