Injured Sandpoint officer goes home
COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — The halls of Kootenai Health were lined with blue Tuesday afternoon as wounded Sandpoint police officer Eric Clark was released from the hospital.
Dozens of officers turned out to greet Clark as he walked out of the hospital with left with his hand and neck bandaged.
Clark was then given a police escort back to Sandpoint.

Clark and Officer Michael Hutter were both shot twice while responding to a call early Monday morning.
Officer Hutter was shot in the leg and chest. He was treated at Bonner General Hospital and was released Monday morning.
Clark was rushed to Kootenai Health and underwent two surgeries.
Investigating officers found suspect Brandon Kuhlman dead at the scene of the shooting in the Ridley Village neighborhood of Sandpoint.
The North Idaho Critical Incident Task Force is leading the investigation into the shooting.
