Idaho Rep. Raúl Labrador and wife not injured in train crash
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — UPDATE: At least one person from the truck was killed in the crash.
Others in the vehicle are also said to be seriously injured. On the train there were no major injuries reported – only minor.
Minnesota congressman Jason Lewis was sent to a local hospital with a concussion.
ORIGINAL STORY: On Wednesday morning, a chartered train carrying dozens of GOP lawmakers to a Republican retreat in West Virginia hit a garbage truck south of Charlottesville, Virginia.
Idaho Republican Raúl Labrador and his wife, Becca, were on board, but were not injured.
Becca and I were on the train involved in today’s accident. We’re both OK and are praying for those injured and their families. We also thank the first responders for their professionalism and care.

In fact, no one on board was injured.
According to witnesses and authorities at the scene, the people in the garbage truck were seriously wounded. There is no word on the exact condition of either of those people yet.
