Idaho DOC searching for Pocatello walkaway
BOISE, Idaho — UPDATE: Destiny Elizabeth Stoops was found and taken into custody at a Vernal, Utah hotel Friday afternoon.
The Idaho Department of Correction is searching for a woman assigned to the Pocatello Women’s Correctional Center who walked away while volunteering in the community.
Destiny Elizabeth Stoops, 21, IDOC #122815, was last seen in the 800 block of South Second Avenue in Pocatello around 1 p.m.
She is white and has green eyes and brown hair. She is 5 feet one inch tall and weighs 150 pounds. She has a fair complexion.
Stoops’s record includes Ada County convictions for possession of a controlled substance, grand theft by possession and eluding a peace officer.
Stoops was eligible to be considered for parole on March 26, 2020. Her sentence was to have been completed on March 25, 2027.
