MOSCOW, ID. — Domination on the offensive side of the ball lifted the Idaho Vandals to a 48-16 victory over the Eastern Washington Eagles.

The Eagles were looking to bounce back after a tough loss against Portland State, but the Idaho offense was all over the Eastern Washington defense on Saturday.

The Vandals outrushed the Eagles 308-36, converting 22 more first downs than the Eagles as well.

Quarterback Gevani McCoy finished the day with a 155.4 QBR rating. He completed 16/28 of his passes, throwing four touchdowns and two interceptions.

All four of those touchdowns were in the first half to tight end Hayden Hatten. Hatten finished the day with 10 receptions for 146 yards to add to his four touchdowns.

Eastern, however, did have the advantage in passing yards (242 to 223). QB Gunner Talkington finished the day with a 171.2 QBR, completing 18/24 passes for 323 yards and two touchdowns. His longest pass on the day was for 87 yards.

The Vandals stay at home to play UC Davis for Senior Day. The Eagles will look to bounce back against the University of Montana next Saturday in Missoula.
