We wrap up our high school basketball state tournament coverage with a look back at Championship Saturday, which produced plenty of drama throughout the state of Washington.

In a day that began with high hopes for a pair of state titles, Central Valley came up just short.  The unexptected run of 19-straight wins by the CV boys ended at the hands of top-ranked Davis.

The CV girls lost in almost the same way they got to the title game the night before – on a game-winning three.

Meanwhile, the perfect season came to fruition for a pair of girls teams at the arena.  The Reardan girls celebrated their 2nd straight 2B title, which was not to be out-done by the Colton girls team, whose senior class won it’s 4th championship in four years.

The Northwest Christian dynasty was dethroned by a Colfax team that played nearly perfect to capture it’s first title in over 30 years.

Almira-Coulee-Hartline erased a 13-point deficit to capture the 1B title behind a tournament record 44 points from Derek Isaak, who celebrated with an emotional hug from head coach, and father, Scott Isaak.
