Hotel RL bought by company that owns Davenport hotels
SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane’s Hotel RL, formerly known as the Red Lion at the Park, has been purchased by Worthy Hotels Incorporated, the same company that owns the Davenport hotels in downtown Spokane.
Effective July 17, Worthy Hotels will assume management of the 401 room hotel.
It was purchased for an undisclosed price, and will be rebranded as an independent hotel called The Centennial Hotel Spokane. The company says it will consider affiliating it with a national brand later this year.
Managing Director for Worthy Hotels, Lynnelle Caudill said, “We appreciate the history and commitment Red Lion Hotels has had to our community. We look forward to carrying that torch into the future by repositioning the hotel a bit and introducing a new concept and brand that will pave the wave to an exciting future for this hotel.”
Worthy Hotels Inc. started in Spokane with the complete restoration of the Historic Davenport Hotel in 2000. Since then, the company has purchased the Davenport Tower, the Davenport Lusso and the Davenport Grand.
