‘Hooptown USA Tournament’ coming to Spokane this winter
SPOKANE, Wash. — Hoopfest may seem like a distant dream in the midst of these snowy, slick December roads – but the folks at Hooptown USA disagree!
At Wednesday night’s Pavilion watch party for the Gonzaga-UNC game, they announced the first-ever Hooptown USA Tournament, which takes place February 14-16, 2020.
Registration is now open for a 32-team Men’s Division and 16-team Women’s Division.
The cost of entry is $500 per team – teams that will duke it out in pool play, before top-seeded teams move on to single-elimination. Hooptown USA guarantees three games refereed by certified officiators, as well as a scoreclock operator and stat keeper.
Games will take play at The Warehouse, The HUB and The Spokane Fitness Center.
First-place in the tournament will net your team a $5,000 cash prize, and second-place will get you free entry into the Hooptown USA Spring League. The Tournament MVP will also receive a prize, though it is yet to be determined.
