SPOKANE, Wash. — Do you want to be a volunteer during this year’s Hoopfest weekend?

The Hoopfest team is asking for interested people to give their time to make sure the ‘best basketball weekend on earth’ goes off with a hitch.

Hoopfest, which will be held on September 11 and 12, is the largest three-on-three basketball tournament in the world and it takes more than 3,000 volunteers to make it happen. There are plenty of ways you can get involved, whether it is helping with team check-in or running the master scoreboard.

Perhaps one of the most important volunteer roles is the court monitor. These volunteers help ensure tournament policies are followed and that safety is upheld by all participants. Court monitors will be decked out in Nike swag and this year, will be entered into an exclusive sweepstakes with a chance to win a fan cave from Huppin’s, a two-night stay at the Davenport during Hoopfest weekend, a spa package from Northern Quest and an Eastern Washington University swag bag.

Volunteer registration opens Monday. Learn more about volunteer opportunities here.
