Homer Bruce Gannaway
Homer Bruce Gannaway (age 85) passed away January 23, 2018 in Spokane, Washington. He was born January 13, 1933 to Leland Leroy and Rosa Belle (Newell) Gannaway in Milton-Freewater, Oregon, and grew up in that area where he enjoyed working on the family farm. Throughout his life he loved fishing and hunting. He worked for many years as a potman for Kaiser Aluminum in Mead, Washington.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hilma (1999); a son, Gary Gannaway (1998); his parents; and a brother, Daniel Gannaway. Survivors include a son, David B. Gannaway (Evelyn) of Spokane; brother, Leroy Gannaway of Wasilla, Alaska; eight grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren.
Private interment will be at Fairmount Memorial Park in Spokane.
A Memorial Service will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 7303 North Nevada Street in Spokane.
Memorial contributions may be made to the D.A.V. (Disabled American Veterans), 212 South David Road, Spokane Valley, WA 99212.
