Northeast Spokane murder suspect expected in court Monday

SPOKANE, Wash. — The suspect in connection to a northeast Spokane murder investigation is expected to make her first appearance in court on Monday.

36-year-old Melissa Leeann Martin was booked into the Spokane County Jail on Friday, facing charges of second-degree murder. Her bond is set at $500,000.

Police said a man’s body was found in a northeast Spokane home on Thursday, after the SWAT team executed a search warrant. Major Crimes detectives are assisting in the investigation.
