High speed crash leads to arrest
MOSES LAKES, Wash. — Moses Lake Police say a man who was driving with a suspended license, collided with another car Febraury 2 then tried to escape police.
Investigators say 25 year old DomonicK Sapp hit the car at the intersection of Valley and Stratford Road and then tried to drive away.
A Moses Lake Police detective witnessed the crash and attempted to stop Sapp. Officials say that’s when Sapp tried to outrun the detective but didn’t get far and crashed his car while trying to take a corner at a high rate of speed.
He was taken into custody with the assistance of the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
There were no injuries in either collision.
Sapp was booked into the Grant County Jail on charges of felony eluding, hit and run, driving while suspended, as well as the obligatory Department of Corrections warrant.
