High Flyers Compete In Hoopfest Dunk Contest
SPOKANE — It was a Washingtonian who took the crown in this year’s Hoopfest Dunk Contest. Booker Washington from Federal Way, took home this years’ trophy with a between the legs,360 degree jam.
A couple of contestants were eliminated early for hanging on the rim, court referees made it incredibly clear to contestants that no hanging on the rim was allowed.
5’8″ phenom Connor Oberst got the crowd involved, pulling a few volunteers on the court to help him finish his dunk.
Only four competitors entered into the women’s slam dunk contest. The title went to Lindsey Herbert from Coeur d’Alene, she adds the slam dunk title to her previous division championships.
