Healthcare workers treated to free barbecue lunch, ice cream

SPOKANE, Wash. — Healthcare workers Monday were treated to a free barbecue lunch from One Night Stand and ice cream from Ben & Jerry’s.

Local man Rick Clark raised thousands of put on events like this, thanking the community and celebrating people on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Initially, Clark says he was just trying to raise a few hundred dollars to buy pizzas for a local shelter.

The response was overwhelming.

He has since raised over $50,000 to help organize these celebratory events. Clark says it’s a great experience—being able to feed the community, thank the heroes and support local restaurants.
