Hayden man arrested for stealing car
HAYDEN, Idaho — The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office arrested 38 year old John Wayne Holley, of Hayden Wednesday for driving a stolen vehicle out of Bonner County.
This morning, deputies located the stolen black Subaru Outback in the parking lot of Holiday Gas Station on Prairie Ave. at Hwy 95.
Investigators said the driver, later identified as Holley, entered the store while additional deputies arrived on scene.
According to deputies, as they entered the store it appeared Holley was going to try and run out the back door, but stopped do to the alarm.
Holley has an extensive criminal history in Kootenai County with his most recent arrest being on January 13, 2018 for driving while suspended.
Holley has been booked into the Kootenai County Jail 33 times previously since 2004 for various crimes to include: Failing to register as a sex offender, Battery, Burglary, Driving without privileges, Domestic Battery, a Fish and Game Violation, Fail to have insurance, Resisting/obstructing police, Poss. of paraphernalia, Poss. of Stolen property, along with numerous Probation Violations.
