5. BHA (Food Preservative) -- Found in everything from meat to cereal and gum, BHA is a waxy solid made from petroleum to prevent food from going bad. The U.S. National Institute of Health has labeled it a cancer-causing agent, although only California currently recognizes that report.

Thursday will be one of the warmest days of 2019 so far, with lots of local areas hitting 70 degrees! That could have you thinking about firing up the grill.

It’s probably the first time in months that you’ve used it, so there are some steps you should take to clean if before cooking food on it.

First, remove and clean the gas tubes and burner. You can use warm, soapy water and towel dry.

Before you reattach them, wash the grill’s interior surfaces with a long-handled stiff wire grill brush.

Finally, make sure your propane tank is full. And if you have a charcoal grill, remember to empty the ash.
