#happylife: How a lemon, dryer sheet and coffee filter can help you spring clean your home
SPOKANE, Wash. — Spring is a great time to spruce up your home, and this month we’re bringing you some tips to help!
Here are a few from Nationwide Insurance Company that you probably haven’t heard of, and they use items you probably already have lying around your home
Try using a lemon to help clean your microwave.
Cut it into halves. Squeeze the juice into a half cup of water. Drop the rinds into the mixture.
Heat your microwave for three minutes.
Let it sit for five minutes without opening the door.
The trapped steam will help loosen the grime, so you can wipe it clean.
Next you can use baking soda to help clean your stainless steal.
Just wet your sink, faucet or fridge, sprinkle some baking soda, then scrub with a sponge.
If you need stronger scrubbing power, add salt to the baking soda.
Next you can use a dryer sheet to help clean your stove.
Wet the sheet down and place it on your ceramic stovetop.
Leave it for about 15 minutes.
You should be able to easily scrape away burnt-on food.
Also, your coffee filters can do more than help you get your caffeine! They’re also a great way to clean fingerprints, smudges, and dust off your screens.
Just wipe things like your TV or computer screens with a dry filter.
Be sure not to press too hard!
