Happy 4th! Here’s what you need to know about the fireworks show at Riverfront Park

SPOKANE, Wash. — The fireworks show is on this Independence Day at Riverfront Park!

Last year, the show was canceled due to fire danger and before that, it was limited to a drive-in event at four separate locations due to COVID restrictions.

In 2022, everyone is invited to gather again in Riverfront Park to enjoy Fourth of July fireworks — and it’s not only fireworks.

There will be food trucks, vendors and even a performance from the Spokane Symphony.

Fourth of July at Riverfront Park

  • 12 p.m. — Food trucks and market vendors open
  • 6 p.m. — Pavilion opens for seating, refreshments
  • 8:50 p.m. — Fairchild AFB Honor Guard presents colors, leads National Anthem
  • 9 p.m. — Spokane Symphony performs “Patriotic Pops”
  • 10 p.m. — Fireworks begin!

Spokane Parks and Recreation says concessions, beer and wine will be available at the Pavilion for the Spokane Symphony performance.

You can bring your own food and drinks, but no outside alcohol.

Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis so definitely plan on bringing a blanket or low-backed beach-style chair just in case.

The Spokane Fire Department is also urging everyone to go to a professional fireworks show and leave the pyrotechnics to the professionals.
