Habitat for Humanity Spokane kicks off 16th annual Blitz Build
DEER PARK, Wash. — Habitat for Humanity Spokane is kicking off their sixteenth annual Blitz Build in the Hope Meadows community, located in Deer Park.
In just under two weeks, 700 volunteers with all different skill sets, will work on four homes. Two homes were started during Women Build Week in May, while two have only had the foundation poured. Several volunteers are working to become future Habitat for Humanity homeowners. They will be earning sweat equity, working on their neighbors homes and possibly their own.
Six Habitat for Humanity families will receive the keys to their homes at the Blitz Build kick-off as well.
