Grant County flu season comes to an end
GRANT COUNTY, Wash. — Grant County health officials announced that the 2017-2018 flu season in Grant County has ended.
According to Grant County Health Officer Dr. Alexander Brzezny, flu activity in the North Central Washington region is returning to pre-epidemic levels. Numbers of reported cases in Grant County have been in the single digits during the last few weeks.
During the 2017-2018 influenza season, Grant County Health District received 1,294 positive influenza lab reports, and 3 influenza related death reports.
Officials say additional cases may still occur.
Residents are encouraged to get their 2018-2019 flu shot as soon as they become available through a healthcare provider or pharmacy.
