Grant County Detectives Want Your Help
Grant County Sheriff’s detectives are looking for your help to solve a cold case from the rural Quincy-area from the summer of 2009.
Sheriff Tom Jones sent out the following information hoping that you might know who this guy is or have any information that might lead to a suspect: “On the morning of June 26, 2009, a woman living on County Road 11.5-NW said she heard a noise in her home. When she went to see what caused the noise, she interrupted a burglary. Startled, the lone suspect allegedly punched the woman, breaking her jaw. The suspect then fled the home, driving away in an older, silver-colored vehicle. That vehicle may have been a smaller SUV, minivan or small pickup with a canopy,” said Jones.
The victim also described the suspect’s vehicle as being in poor condition. Jones added, “that the vehicle may not be in running condition today, but may be a hulk vehicle parked outside.”
Above is a computer-aided drawing of the suspect as described by the victim. She described him as a Hispanic male, around 25-years old, 5’7″ tall with a muscular build and thick, black, short-cut hair.
