Grant County deputy and K9 honored as Red Cross Hometown Heroes
WENATCHEE, Wash. — Grant County Sheriff’s Deputy Dave De La Rose and his K9 partner Grizzly were honored as Hometown Heroes by the Greater Inland Northwest Chapter of the American Red Cross.
De La Rosa and Grizzly were recognized for saving the life of an elderly Ephrata man suffering from Alzheimer’s disease who wandered away from his home in dangerous temperatures last month.
De La Rosa and Grizzly, along with other award recipients, were recognized at the Hometown Heroes Celebration on March 29 in Wenatchee.
