Grant County deputies recover body from Banks Lake
ELECTRIC CITY, Wash. — On the morning of Wednesday, May 23, Grant County Sheriff’s Deputies recovered the body of a man from the waters of Banks Lake, north of Coulee City.
Deputies were called to the area around 7:30 a.m. when a boater discovered the body, later identified as 72-year-old Garlan W. Crosswhite of Olalla, which is southwest of Seattle.
Mr. Crosswhite’s boat was found beached along the east shoreline about two miles away. According to a Thursday morning release, deputies do not suspect foul play in his death.
Mr. Crosswhite’s body is in the care of Grant County Coroner Craig Morrison whose staff will determine cause and manner of death.
An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday.
Mr. Crosswhite’s next-of-kin has been notified.
