Governor Jay Inslee endorses Ben Stuckart for Spokane mayor
SPOKANE, Wash. — Washington Governor Jay Inslee has endorsed Ben Stuckart in Spokane’s upcoming mayoral race.
Stuckart made the announcement in a press release early Wednesday morning.
The release included the names of other elected officials that have announced their support of Stuckart.
Those people include:
Andy Billing, WA State Senate Majority Leader, 3rd LD
Marcus Riccelli, WA State Representative, 3rd LD
Timm Ormsby, WA State Representative, 3rd LD
Candace Mumm, Spokane City Council Member
Lori Kinnear, Spokane City Council Member
Breean Beggs, Spokane City Council Member
Karen Stratton, Spokane City Council Member
Dow Constantine, King County Executive
Jack Geraghty, Former Mayor, Spokane
Sheri Barnard, Former Mayor, Spokane
Joe Shogan, Former Spokane City Council President
Jon Snyder, Former Spokane City Council
Amber Waldref, Former Spokane City Council
Mike Allen, Former Spokane City Council
Steve Salvatori, Former Spokane City Council
Lois Stratton, Former WA State Representative
John Driscoll, Former WA State Representative
Adam Teskey, Deputy Mayor of the City and County of Limerick, Ireland
“I am honored to have endorsements from leaders of both parties and citizens from all neighborhoods in our wonderful city,” said Stuckart. “I will be a mayor who will fairly represent all of my constituents and work every day to meet their vision for the city.”
As the race continues, both Stuckart and his opponent, Nadine Woodward, continue to receive endorsements from local leaders, politicians and organizations. Earlier this month, Woodward received endorsements from former mayoral candidates Jonathan Bingle and Shawn Poole. Woodward has also been received support from the Spokane Police Guild and Spokane County Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich.
