Gov. Inslee appoints new executive director of Puget Sound Partnership
OLYMPIA, Wash. —
Governor Jay Inslee appointed a new executive director to the Puget Sound Partnership on Wednesday.
Laura Blackmore has been with the Puget Sound Partnership since 2015, and currently holds the title of deputy director and tribal liaison. Blackmore worked for Cascadia Consulting, Inc. prior to her time at the Partnership, and also has experience as a water quality planner for the King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks.
A state agency, the Puget Sound Partnership leads efforts to restore and protect the Puget Sound.
“Laura’s extensive experience with the Puget Sound Partnership, her longtime work with tribal governments, and her work on salmon recovery and water quality will position her well to lead the agency,” said Inslee in a statement.
Blackmore’s appointment begins Saturday, May 4.
