Good Guy movement to help YWCA Spokane fight domestic violence

Co-founders and long-time YWCA supporters, Doug Kelley of Avista and Manny Hochheimer of Numerica Credit Union, have joined together with YWCA to create a new group of support against domestic violence called the Good Guys.

Kelley and Hochheimer have agreed to bring together 100 or more men who will pledge their support for the Good Guys by attending the 34th annual Women of Achievement Impact Luncheon on Oct. 7. The luncheon is the YWCA’s largest fundraiser, featuring an inspirational speaker, an awards ceremony, and community awareness about services provided by YWCA Spokane. KXLY 4 is a media sponsor for the luncheon.

The keynote speaker for this year’s luncheon is Ashley Judd. Judd is known for being an actress, author, and social advocate.

The Good Guys are looking for men who can attend the luncheon as a guest or Table Captain. Table Captains must recruit nine additional men to sit at their table to show support for the YWCA.
