Gonzaga’s Julian Strawther declares for the draft

SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga’s Julian Strawther is entering the NBA draft.

The sophomore guard started in 31 of 32 games for the Zags this season and averaged 11.8 points per game.

“Playing in the NBA has been my dream for as long as I can remember. After talking to my family and coaches, I have decided to declare for the 2022 NBA draft,” Strawther tweeted.

It is not clear whether he will maintain the option of returning to Gonzaga next season.

Strawther is the second Zag to declare for the draft this year. Drew Timme announced earlier this month that he intends to do the same.
