Gonzaga’s Jalen Suggs declares for NBA Draft

SPOKANE, Wash. — Gonzaga Bulldogs freshman Jalen Suggs has declared for the NBA Draft.

Suggs made the announcement on Twitter, saying he is officially turning pro, along with auctioning off his signed shoes from the NCAA Tournament—the same ones he wore sinking the buzzer beater three-pointer against UCLA and sending Gonzaga to the national championships.

Suggs made a huge splash his first and only year with the Zags. Selected as the No. 6 recruit from Minnehaha Academy, he quickly found himself in the starting lineup along with other heavy hitters like Corey Kispert, Drew Timme, Andrew Nembhard and Joel Ayayi.

Suggs averaged 14.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game at Gonzaga.
