SPOKANE, Wash. – The Gonzaga women’s basketball team reached new heights Monday morning as it moved up one spot in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll to No. 11, the highest ranking in program history.

The Bulldogs picked up wins last week over San Diego (57-46) and BYU (59-44) to improve to 22-1 overall on the season with an 11-0 mark in West Coast Conference play while extending the nation’s longest win streak to 20 games.

The Zags received 437 points in the poll and rank just below No. 10 UCLA (462). South Carolina claimed the top spot with 26 first-place votes and 746 points while Baylor ranks second with 718 points and three first-place votes. Louisville claimed the final first-place vote, coming in at No. 5 with 641 points.

Gonzaga currently ranks 11th in the USA Today Coaches Poll; this week’s poll will be released Tuesday, Feb. 4.
