The Zags are entering their second regular-season game of the year. They played two exhibition games before the regular season schedule, losing to Tennessee in Frisco, Texas, and beating Warner Pacific.

This is the sixth time these two teams will go up against each other. The Spartans lead the series 4-1. GU’s sole win against the Spartans came in 2005 when they won in triple overtime in Lahaina, Hawaii. The last time these two teams played each other was in 2011 when the Spartans came to Spokane and beat the Zags 74-67.

Players to look out for on the Spartans include forward Joey Hauser and A.J. Hoggard. In their only regular season game so far, Hauser recorded a double-double, scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds on 50% shooting. Hoggard scored nine points and recorded eight rebounds in the win. Timme vs Hauser and Hoggard vs Rasir Bolton will be two matchups to look out for in this game.

This will be the first time in two years the Armed Forces Classic will be held and the second time the Bulldogs will make an appearance. The Zags played Pittsburgh at U.S. Marine Corps Base Smedley D. Butler in Okinawa, Japan in 2015, though the game was canceled at halftime due to a slippery floor.

The two teams will compete on the deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln on Veterans Day. The game will be televised on ESPN. Tipoff is at 3:30 p.m.
