Gonzaga moves up to #2 in AP Top 25 Poll
SPOKANE, Wash. — The Gonzaga Bulldogs are the number #2 team in this Week’s AP Top 25 Poll, moving up one place from last week.
Duke regained the top spot.
The Bulldogs went on the road to knocked off both Loyola Marymount and San Diego. The Zags struggled offensively in the first half of both of those games then controlled the second halfs for double digit wins.
Gonzaga got a little help from Kentucky over the weekend. The Wildcats beat the former #1 Tennessee Volunteers 86-69. At one point in the game, the #5 Wildcats had a 24 point lead.
Gonzaga takes on Pepperdine in the McCarthey Center on Thursday and then host BYU on Saturday.
They end the season on the road at Pacific and then at St. Mary’s.
Virginia, Kentucky and Tennessee round out the top 5.
