Gonzaga comes back, beats Michigan State in Armed Forces Classic

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — The Gonzaga Bulldogs came back to defeat Michigan State aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln Friday night.

Drew Timme led the team in points, rebounds, and assists, scoring 22, hauling in 13 boards, and dishing out four assists. Julian Strawther had 13 points and nine rebounds.

The Zags were down by 12 early in the second half but came back after going on an 11-0 run.

The game came down to the wire, but the Zags secured the win by one point, finishing the game 64-63.

As a team, the Bulldogs shot 42 percent from the field, 22 percent from three, and 64 percent at the line.

The team will now go on to play the #12 ranked Texas Longhorns at the Moody Center.
