Gonzaga Bulldogs drop to #4 in the Men’s AP Top 25 Poll
SPOKANE, Wash. — The Gonzaga Bulldog’s couldn’t hold on to beat the Tennessee Volunteers Sunday in Phoenix, Arizona and it cost them the number 1 ranking in the AP Poll.
In Monday’s poll there were ranked #4 with Kansas in the top spot.
The Zags started off slow against the #7 Vols, trailing by 9 early. The cut that deficit to one at the half.
In the second half the Zags led by as many as 9 but they could not stop of hot hand of Admiral Schofield who hand 30 points including a 3 pointer that put in the Vols up by 3 in the closing seconds of the game.
Rui Hachimura had a chance to tie the game with a last second shot, but missed.
The Bulldogs once again player without Killian Tillie and Geno Crandall.
The 8-1 Bulldogs play at #14 North Carolina on Saturday.
