Gonzaga baseball coach arrested for DUI in Reardan
SPOKANE, Wash. — Gonzaga University baseball head coach Mark Machtolf is accused of driving under the influence Thursday night in Reardan.
The coach was arrested on suspicion of DUI and booked into Lincoln County Jail. He was released on Friday after posting bond.
Machtolf told authorities he drank two IPAs that night, but his blood-alcohol level was 0.284 at the jail, according to reports.
Machtolf finished his 19th season as the Bulldogs’ head coach after his team fell to Columbia University at the NCAA Tournament in Blacksburg, Virginia.
