COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho- —
After a successful first year, the Coeur d’Alene Resort’s Food and Wine Festival is back. This year, the event is bigger and broadening its focus.
Events at the festival will take place between April 12-14. There will be no shortage of special pairing dinners; Walla Walla wineries will pair up some of their most well-loved bottles with d elicacies from the resort kitchen. Local wineries, like Barriester, and chefs from outside of the resort will also be hosting special tastings and meals.
If you are planning to spend the weekend, or maybe you want to get in a workout before a big meal Saturday evening, the resort will be hosting a mini retreat that will include a fresh and healthy breakfast, followed by a yoga class and/or guided hike of Tubbs Hill.
There will also be an Artist Den, where you can view pieces from local artists like Ben Joyce, while sipping wine. On Sunday morning, Townshend Cellars will be hosting a book signing and breakfast with author Debbie Macomber. Over breakfast pastries and a mimosa bar, she will be talking about her new book and signing copies afterward.
