SPOKANE, Wash. — Staff at the beloved Garland Theater have been hired back thanks to a Paycheck Protection Program loan.

According to a Facebook post, employees who wanted to work have been spending the last few weeks on their hands and knees, giving the theater a good clean.

The auditorium floors received a scrub and all 750 seats are about to get a steam cleaning.

Staff members are also repainting Bon Bon, stock rooms, the kitchen, dish room, box office and bathrooms.

“I’m beyond grateful for the time these folks have put in this far and for all the work they will do in the next month or so,” the owner said in a Facebook post.
