JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Former Washington State quarterback Gardner Minshew just wants to relax after his rookie season as an NFL quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

How does the Mississippi native, mustache-bearing,  jorts-wearing, plan on doing it? A cross-country road trip. In an RV. He said in an Instagram post, he’ll start “re-centering myself the only way I know how” by traveling from Florida to California. He wants input from anyone and everyone.

If you have a suggestion, use the hashtag #MileswithMinshew. He requested anything having to with “places to see, anything for free, places to eat and people to meet,” along the way.

After breaking records in Pullman for Mike Leach’s Washington State Cougars, Minshew finished his rookie season in the NFL helping the Jaguars to a 38-20 victory over Indianapolis.

He led all rookie quarterbacks in several passing categories and led the Jags to more victories than any other rookie QB this season with six.
