Republicans Fulcher, Simpson win Idaho congressional races

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — Republican incumbent candidates Russ Fulcher and Mike Simpson will represent Idaho’s two congressional districts.

Fulcher is leading Democrat Kaylee Peterson with 71.3% of votes to Peterson’s 26.4%. Simpson is also ahead of his opponent Wendy Norman (D) with 63.9% of votes, beating Norman’s 36.4%.

Fulcher was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2018, succeeding incumbent Raúl Labrador, who is now running for Idaho Attorney General.

Simpson has been representing Idaho’s second congressional district since 1999, succeeding Mike Crapo.
