CHICAGO, Ill. — The future is looking bright for Washington State’s former freshman star Mouhammed Gueye.

Gueye and 43 other prospects will participate in the NBA G League Elite Camp, a chance for former college athletes to show off their skills. The event is basically the NFL Combine of the NBA, where talented young stars compete in front of scouts, trying to raise their draft stock.

Gueye was an amazing addition to the WSU men’s basketball team, winning five total freshman of the week awards and helping lead the team to the NIT semifinals.

The seven-footer will be joined by many other great players, such as Oral Roberts’ Max Abmas, Kansas’ James Akinjo, and LSU’s Shareef O’Neal.

The 2022 NBA G League Elite Camp will take place on May 16-17 at Wintrust Arena in Chicago.
