Former CV star Wu-Yelland selected by the Red Sox
SPOKANE, Wash. — The Boston Red Sox today selected University of Hawaii and former Central Valley Bear left-handed pitcher Jeremy Wu-Yelland in the fourth round of the Major League Baseball Draft for First-Year Players.
Wu-Yelland was taken with the 118th pick overall. MLB.com lists that slot with an approximate signing bonus of $487,900.
When playing at C.V., Wu-Yelland was a two-time first-team all-Greater Spokane League selection and was listed as an all-state player.
