Food for Fines is back at Spokane Public Library
SPOKANE, Wash. — Sunday through April 13 is National Library Week, and the Spokane Public Library is celebrating in the best way possible.
Food for Fines is an event held annually by the library, during which members of the Spokane community are invited to pay off library fines while donating to a good cause.
From April 7-20, individuals can have all library fines waived by donating one non-perishable food item or pet food. The waiving of fees applies to all items that have not been lost or damaged.
The donations will benefit Second Harvest and SCRAPS.
