Fly high at the Hayden Kite Festival this weekend
HAYDEN, Idaho — Get ready to hold your kite high at the annual Hayden Kite Festival this weekend!
The event features many kite kite flyers and different kite designs from across the Inland Northwest. There will be several kite competitions, with categories like Best in Show, High Flyer, Best Homemade, and more. The festival is free and open to all ages.
The event is happening Saturday, April 30 from noon to 2:30 p.m. at Broadmoore Park. Registration and kite flying will be from noon to 1:30 p.m., judging will be from 1:30-2, and the awards ceremony is at 2:15.
Don’t have a kite? Kites, sponsored by Aspen Homes in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month, will be available. Idahome Espresso will also have some refreshments for sale.
