Florida boy climbs into vending machine, gets stuck
TITUSVILLE, Florida — “Often times we say to ourselves that you never know what the next shift will bring.”
That’s how the Titusville Fire Department began their post about a young boy who climbed into a vending machine, and couldn’t get out.
Mason was at a restaurant in Titusville, Florida with friends and family when he decided he wanted a stuffed animal.
He decided to take matters into his own hands, and climb up the opening where the toys come out.
An off duty firefighter happened to be at the restaurant, and instructed someone to call 911 while he assessed the situation.
A crew arrived and, “made short work of the situation,” according to the Fire Department, adding that Mason was ‘never in distress.’
Mason was rescued within a few minutes, and able to go back to dinner with his friends.
“We love a happy ending and are glad everything worked out,” the Titusville Fire Department said on Facebook.
And, don’t worry, Mason got a stuffed animal in the end!
