First shipments of COVID vaccines for younger WA children delayed

OLYMPIA, Wash. – Delays are hitting the first round of COVID vaccine shipments intended for Washington children.

The Washington Department of Health said the initial supply is impacted by federal delays.

The supply will be delayed between 24-48 hours as inventory continues to build over the coming days and weeks.

Parents looking to get their children vaccinated are encouraged to call their health providers or check the state vaccine locator for availability.

All children six months and older are now eligible for a COVID vaccine.
