Fire north of Winthrop burns 130 acres, is 90% contained
OKANOGAN CO., Wash. — The Rendezvous Fire in Okanogan County has burned 120 acres and is now 90 percent contained, according to the Washington State Department of Natural Resources.
Reports of the fire came in just after 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, five miles north of Winthrop on 374 Rendezvous Road.
Okanogan County Emergency Management urged residents to take action as needed, and to give plenty of space to emergency response vehicles.
The Washington Department of Natural Resources has dubbed it the Rendezvous Fire.
Authorities said they will not provide further updates.
