Fire mobilization authorized for Jolly Mountain Fire
KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. — State fire assistance has been mobilized under the Washington State Fire Services Resource Mobilization Plan in support of firefighters working to contain the Jolly Mountain Fire.
The fire is approximately six miles north of Cle Elum in Kittitas County. It’s burning in grass, brush, and timber.
The fire, which has been burning for three weeks, is estimated at 13,676 acres and is threatening nearly 4,000 homes in the area. Level 2 and 3 evacuation order are in effect for those residents.
Lightning was the original cause of the fire.
