Finch Arboretum open house coming up
The community is invited to a master plan open house to help guide Spokane parks and recreation in the future development at John A. Finch Arboretum.
Parks officials and members of a consultant team will introduce the project, share some thoughts about the vision and hear citizen ideas about where efforts should be focused as the arboretum moves forward.
The Arboretum is located on 65 acres of wooded hills. The collection has been planted along the Garden Springs Creek and contains a wide variety of native and cultivated plant material compatible with growing conditions in Spokane. Visitors enjoy the varied landscapes which range from a native pine forest to a shady glen filled with rhododendrons.
