Fifth-straight Sweet Sixteen on the line for one Zag, first for others
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Last year, it seemed almost hard to believe Gonzaga was making their fourth-straight Sweet Sixteen appearance in Los Angeles. Now, fifth-year senior Josh Perkins has a chance to go every year that he’s been a Bulldog, while it would be a first time experience for guys like Brandon Clarke and Geno Crandall.
With a second-round matchup with ninth-seeded Baylor, the Zags will either have to slow down the Bears from outside (hit 17 three-pointers to beat Syracuse) or hope they’re not as hot from beyond the arc tomorrow.
Tip-off is set for 4:10 p.m. PT.
