Ferris High School educator named National Teacher of the Year
SPOKANE, Wash. — Ferris High School’s Mandy Manning has been named the 2018 National Teacher of the Year.
Manning has taught English and math to newly arrived immigrants and refugees at Ferris High School’s Newcomer Center.
As Teacher of the Year, Manning will speak at more than 150 national and international events, advocating for the teaching profession.
Manning was honored as Washington State’s Teacher of the Year last September.
